The Washington University Complex Care Clinic provides a primary medical home for children with medical complexity from birth to adolescence. Our goal is to help families navigate the health care system more efficiently by optimizing collaboration and care coordination with Washington University School of Medicine’s subspecialty providers, therapists and home care services. We aim to help achieve the best possible health outcomes for patients that frequently have a range of complex medical needs and diagnoses that require both acute and chronic care.
We are available to our patients five days a week for well-child care, advanced assessment and management at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Suite 2D. We are happy to provide primary care to siblings of our patients.
We welcome referrals for patients 14 years and under who do not currently have a primary care provider to coordinate and manage their complex medical needs.
Typically, these patients will have one or more of the following:
- Technology dependence (G-tube, tracheostomy, ventilator) or wheelchair dependence
- Two or more chronic conditions under treatment
- Ongoing management by three or more WUSM specialists
